Value Session II

Value Session II grew directly out of some of the research I'd done a couple of years ago in the axiology of ethics. I had derived a system by which I boiled every ethical system down to its atmoic parts and then reassembled those parts. The idea was that only a finite number would be internally consistent, so I could create a sort of menu that contained all possible consistent ethical positions. Turns out that doesn't work because there could always be some one who valued some totally out- there thing, so the potential inclusions in that list of atmoic parts were infinite. Oops. I did get a lot of good stuff out of that work, though, and part of it went toward creating this session.
